First day of hiking! Ascent through a beautiful forest of pine and beech trees, with many balconies overlooking the Aegean Sea! We reach the first overnight official mountain refuge with dormitories, on the slopes of Olympus, from where Mount Athos, the ‘Inaccessible’ of Greece, is visible!

Elevation: 1100m – 1950m

We ascend to the legendary plateau of the Muses, where we see all the peaks of Olympus and also the Throne of Zeus, the peak Stefani! After a break, we climb to the peak of Prophet Elias, where the tallest chapel in Greece stands! We continue to the peak Toumpa for a magical sunset! Overnight stay at the highest refuge in the Balkans!

After witnessing one of the most beautiful sunrises, we can ascend to Mytikas, the highest peak in Greece! For this ascent, your guide will use safety ropes as it is a quite difficult and steep climb. Anyone who prefers not to make this ascent can wait at the refuge on the plateau of the Muses. Return to the plateau of the Muses and descent to the Spilios Agapitos refuge.

5.5 Hours

The longest crossing in kilometers and hours but downhill! We will cross the beautiful Enipeas Gorge with waterfalls and wooden bridges. We will swim in beautiful pools that are formed! We arrive at Litochoro for overnight stay.

Elevation: 2100m – 300m
8 Hours

Road transfer to the path of the Orlias Gorge. There we will walk parallel to the river until we reach the magical pool formed by the Orlias waterfall! Time for swimming and photos! Return via the same path and road journey back to Athens!
